Opsview + Uptrends = Total Observability

Having complete visibility of your IT infrastructure is vital in the battle to monitor your complex collection of systems, networks, CPUs and databases.

Your ultimate goal is total observability, where you can see and understand what is broken (or might be soon) and what needs to be done to fix it. Today, you can take a giant leap forward on your observability journey with the latest version of Opsview.

How? With the new Uptrends integration with Opsview, you’ll have the ability to monitor not just your IT infrastructure (on-premises or in the cloud), but also your Uptrends digital experience.

If you have an infrastructure issue - say you run out of data storage – you can identify the problem and fix it ASAP using Opsview. With the added benefit of Uptrends digital experience monitoring, you can now also check to see how the issue is impacting your website customers.

From opacity to observability in ten minutes

For Opsview customers who don’t have Uptrends, it takes just ten minutes to set up a new Uptrends account. Opsview now supports all Uptrends checks including real user monitoring (RUM), transactions, API and full-page checks.

This single pane of glass for your infrastructure and digital experience monitoring gives your organisation unprecedented visibility of both infrastructure and digital experience.

Business service monitoring

Uptrends users can also now build business service monitoring (BSM) capabilities in Opsview, so they can monitor web apps or systems like payroll.

Business service monitoring allows you a much-enhanced view into your IT infrastructure – as opposed to looking at your infrastructure on a host-by-host basis.

Your monitoring solution will understand resiliency, service/ operational availability (SLA/OLA), and more.

You can learn more about BSM and Opsview by watching the webinar below.

FAQs:

Q. Can I benefit from this integration regardless of if I have Opsview on-premises or cloud?

A. Yes, this integration will work for both Opsview and Opsview Cloud.

Q. What version of Opsview do I need to be on to benefit from this?

A. 6.7.5+.

Q. How secure is this integration as Uptrends is SaaS only and I have an on-premises, highly secure Opsview instance?

A. Both products are ISO27001 compliant & the integration uses TLS encryption for any data sent so unless you have a completely offline environment which we cannot support with the Uptrends product, we can support your security needs with this integration.

Q. If I have 100's of Uptrends checks, will I need to pay for 100's of additional hosts in Opsview to benefit from this single pane of glass?

A. You will only need one additional host per type of check - e.g., one additional host can include all synthetic checks (alerts, errors, load time, status, total bytes & uptime) and two additional hosts can include all Synthetic and RUM checks.
